The Role

Key Responsibilities for the Category Manager include:

  • Managing the procurement of stock for the UK market, monitoring stock control, including spot and MRP buying.
  • Negotiating with suppliers on pricing, lead times, and volumes; monitor global delivery costs and Incoterms.
  • Identify and mitigate supply risks; share market intelligence and pricing updates with stakeholders.
  • Source and onboard new suppliers and products, supporting NPD and technical teams.
  • Leading supplier performance reviews and improvement plans; align with commercial strategy.
  • Tracking budgets and savings; support continuous improvement and promote internal brand portfolio.

The Organisation

Nigel Wright are thrilled to be working with a Global manufacturing business who are currently recruiting a Category Manager to join their successful procurement team. This is a full time permanent role offering up to 1 day working from home.

The Category Manager will work alongside a Procurement Administrator and reporting into a senior Category Manager.
