We are currently working with an established manufacturer based in Colchester.
They are looking for an Engineer to join their team working in their laboratory.
Duties and responsibilities:
- Planning, preparation and execution of tests, along with clear up, subsequent analysis and reporting of results.
- Development of test and analytical methods.
- Programming and operating laboratory computers.
- Undertake customer witnessed test programs within the laboratory.
- Maintaining an awareness of new and current test standards.
- Undertake visits to customers sites to investigate technical problems and perform commissioning.
- Provide technical support to the factory and sales staff.
Requirements:
- HNC essential, engineering degree preferred minimum Level 4
- Must have technical background.
- LabVIEW experience desirable.
- Computational and analytical skills are essential as is report writing.
- The appropriate candidate must understand the importance of customer service and will be required to explain test procedures and test results to clients during customer witnessed tests.
- Aerodynamic flow & pressure measurement. An understanding of rotating turbomachinery would be beneficial.
- Acoustic & vibration measurement & analysis.
- Balancing of rotating machinery.
- Stress measurement.
