SRG is working with a pharmaceutical company in North Yorkshire. We are looking for a QC microbiologist to join the QC team on a temporary basis. A fantastic opportunity to strengthen your skills within a GMP pharmaceutical environment working with experienced team members.
Job Title: QC Microbiologist
Vacancy type: 3-month Contract
Area: North Yorkshire
Salary: £30k - £35k (pro rata)
Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
- Performing microbiological testing and evaluating the results obtained to guarantee the quality of finished and intermediate products within GMP.
- Conduct quality control tests to ensure product consistency and compliance with established standards and specifications.
- Document and report test results accurately and in a timely manner.
- Troubleshoot and resolve any issues related to sample analysis or instrumentation.
- Collaborate with other departments to investigate and resolve quality-related concerns.
- Maintain and calibrate laboratory equipment as needed.
- Ensures that lab cleanliness and safety standards are maintained.
- Adhere to all safety and quality regulations and protocols.
Skills Required:
- Bachelor's degree with relevant experience in microbiology.
- Minimum of 3 years of experience in GMP quality control or a microbiology laboratory setting.
- Knowledge of Microbiological testing such as LAL, Membrane Filtration, bioburden, environmental monitoring, Dispersion, Use of a Microscope, Gram staining, Incubation of samples
- Excellent attention to detail and organisational skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
