Outwood Academy Valley is a popular and oversubscribed school in Worksop, North Nottinghamshire. The academy has 1500 students aged 11 to 16 and shares a Post 16 Centre, which has 500 students, with Outwood Academy Portland. The Post 16 Centre is just a two-minute walk from the school. Both sites have excellent facilities providing a modern and motivational learning and working environment. Outwood Post 16 Centre builds on the great work of the Outwood Academies in Worksop to provide first class levels of education.

Your new role
We wish to appoint a Bridge Coordinator to join our existing Inclusion team. Working as part of the Deep Support team, you will promote the learning and welfare of vulnerable students and those who experience barriers to learning. You will work closely with SLT and the Academy Inclusion Team to manage the Bridge and provide appropriate and personalised timetables for individual students and groups with a view to achieving full reintegration back into mainstream school. You will also deliver alternative courses to cohorts of students to provide them with relevant qualifications. This is a part-time job, working 12:00 - 16:00 Mondays - Thursdays and 12:00 - 15:30 Fridays.

Initially you will start on a temporary basis with the opportunity of perm further down the line.

What you'll need to succeed
- Level 2 qualifications in English and Maths or equivalent
- Willingness and ability to obtain and/or enhance qualifications and training
- Experience working in a school environment with young people with specific difficulties and vulnerabilities
- Ability to use ICT packages including Microsoft Office
- Strong organisational and time management skills
