Mechanical Design Engineer Coventry £40,000 - £50,000 per annum
We have an exciting Mechanical Design opportunity to join a dynamic team at a leading global business involved with the design and fabrication of specialised machinery, manufacturing bespoke automated systems in Coventry.
Mechanical Design Engineer Key Responsibilities:
- Generate and deliver concept and manufacturing design definitions, aligning with technical specifications, requirements, and budget constraints.
- Contribute to the conceptual development of new products.
- Maintain engineering processes and procedures to ensure compliance and efficiency.
- Identify and capitalise on business opportunities.
- Problem-solve and innovate to enhance existing products and processes.
- Evaluate technical issues and propose investigations and solutions.
- Support assigned projects, ensuring timely delivery within set parameters.
- Collaborate with customers on product development to meet their specific needs.
- Stay abreast of relevant technical advancements, enhancing personal skills and supporting team members as needed.
- Actively participate in continuous improvement initiatives within the business unit
Mechanical Design Engineer Skills & Experience:
- HND or equivalent mechanical engineering design experience.
- Proficiency in 3D design; experience with Pro-Engineer / Creo is advantageous.
- Hands-on approach to engineering design and development.
- Previous experience in designing projects from conceptions through to full engineering detailing.
- Background in Automotive, Heavy Engineering, or Off-Highway/Construction Equipment is advantageous.
- Ability to work autonomously and collaboratively within a team.
- Demonstrated technical aptitude and problem-solving skills.
- Working knowledge of hydraulic, electrical, and mechanical systems is highly beneficial.
