Infrastructure & Security Manager

An experienced Infrastructure & Security Manager with relevant experience is needed to join the team at this award-winning web platform with a suite of website optimisation tools based in Egham, Surrey, on a full-time, hybrid working basis.

As the Infrastructure and Security Manager, you will be responsible for managing their client's infrastructure and cloud security day to day and providing internal support to the UK-based team.

This is a hands-on role, and you will provide expertise in network infrastructure, security, and change management. You will be responsible for maintaining a highly available and secure IT infrastructure, ensuring that the integrity of the IT architecture is maintained and improved to meet the organisation's growing needs.

About the Role

This position is internally facing. The successful candidate must be able to build and maintain strong, professional working relationships with team members. You will be expected to work from the office 3 days a week.

All successful candidates will be subject to a background check that includes employment references, credit checks, DBS checks, and qualification checks.

Key Responsibilities

  • Own the definition and maintenance of all Infrastructure technologies, including networks & Wi-Fi, firewalls, telephony, servers, storage, equipment rooms, cloud-based infrastructure services and associated software management services
  • Management of Backups and DR systems
  • Designing, developing and writing deliverable plans for the firm's IT infrastructure strategy
  • Maintaining ISO 27001 compliance
  • Promote a team-working environment by communicating with the team to maintain and improve quality standards and provide day-to-day support
  • First point of contact for all IT security escalations and breaches

Required Experience:

  • An understanding of security architecture with the ability to advise key stakeholders on both future and end-of-life (EOL) dates for critical network security devices
  • Detailed knowledge of a wide range of Microsoft products and technologies, including AD, GPO, CLI and DNS
  • Extensive knowledge of Microsoft Office 365 and Azure cloud computing
  • Detailed knowledge of different cyber technologies across Infrastructure protection & Application Security
  • Proficient with firewalls, IDS, Encryption, Azure Vault and backups
  • Hands-on, personable and happy to assist their team with day-to-day IT support
  • Success leveraging both traditional practices, such as IT service management, as well as emerging methods, such as DevOps, that are optimised for agility
  • Knowledge of ISO 27001 compliance, penetration testing, and auditing, with a willingness to get involved and lead aspects of ISO compliance tasks
  • Experience using Linux as well as Windows OS and an understanding of DNS management would be beneficial
  • Ideally, has a good understanding of technologies like GitHub, Rundeck and Ansible and experience with backup and data retention solutions
