Software Testing Engineer

We are looking to recruit an experienced Software Testing Engineer who will be responsible for developing and executing detailed test plans and scripts, coordinate testing activities with stakeholders, and manage various types of tests (static and non-functional).

This position will be joining our thriving UK medical device manufacturing company to work within our Quality Department.

The successful candidate will play a crucial role in ensuring our business and quality requirements are effectively translated into robust test approaches. This role involves preparing and executing comprehensive test plans and scripts, managing various testing activities, and maintaining high-quality standards in released systems.

Essential Experience/Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree (preferably in Engineering, Mathematics, IT or other exact sciences discipline) or equivalent qualification
  • Demonstrated experience, focused on software quality and testing activities
  • Experience in working with business management systems
  • Good knowledge of project and issue tracking tools, such as Jira, Azure DevOps, GitLab, GitHub or similar
  • Experience with various testing methodologies, such as unit testing, integration testing, system performance testing, and user acceptance testing (UAT)
  • Good understanding of Agile and Waterfall delivery processes
  • Good verbal and written communication skills in English
  • Ability to work and interact with various personnel
  • Good computer knowledge: MS Word, MS Excel, MS Outlook

Desirable Experience/Qualifications:

  • Understanding of quality, manufacturing, finance and supply chain management processes
  • Experience in enterprise resource planning (ERP) and/or manufacturing enterprise (MES) system
  • Experience in using test automation tools
  • Knowledge of cGMP regulations
  • Experience in computerised system validation

Hours of Work
