Behaviour Mentor – Alternative Provision
Do you enjoy supporting young people who have faced social and academic barriers? Have you previously worked with challenging behaviours or SEMH needs? This excellent Alternative Provision is currently recruiting for a behaviour mentor to provide 1-2-1 and small group support for students who have been excluded from mainstream education. This role requires a behaviour mentor who can inspire a love for learning and help students to engage in lessons.
This school has been recognised for the outstanding support that it provides its students. The leadership are focused on giving every child a second chance, and the pastoral team work hard to do this. As a behaviour mentor you will be working closely with an experienced team of mentors, teaching assistants and teachers to make a difference. Previous experience supporting young people is essential for this role.
Job Role:
- Supporting challenging behaviours on a 1-2-1 and group basis.
- Working as a Behaviour Mentor supporting student progress.
- Acting as a positive role model for students.
- Delivering 1-2-1 intervention sessions focused on communication and behaviours.
- Helping students to reengage with education.
