We are looking for a skilled Data Steward to join a leading business in the food industry, who are dedicated to delivering high-quality products and services. The Data Steward will be part of the tea that is dedicated to ensuring the accuracy, consistency, and compliance of procurement and sales product and supplier data.
The Data Steward will serve as the subject matter expert on procurement and sales product and supplier data, ensuring data accuracy, consistency, and compliance across all operations. This role requires strong analytical skills, attention to detail, acting as the primary point of contact for various teams and executing Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) related to data stewardship
Key Responsibilities:
- Serve as the expert on stewarded information such as procurement and sales product and supplier data
- Maintain deep domain knowledge of the food industry and its business processes
- Leverage your experience in similar stewardship roles to manage and maintain MDM processes
- Establish information policies and create, validate, and maintain definitions for stewarded data.
- Collaborate with business teams to resolve data definition issues
- Perform data management tasks such as viewing, searching, editing, creating, merging, and un-merging records using the MDM stewardship platform
- Enforce consistent data definition rules defined and approved by the business team
- Review data quality metrics for procurement and sales product and supplier data
- Ensure high standards of data quality are maintained across all stewarded data
- Ensure all data complies with relevant regulatory standards and internal policies
Qualifications:
- Several years of experience in data stewardship, preferably within the food industry
- Extensive knowledge of procurement and sales product and supplier data
- Strong understanding of food industry business processes and regulations
- Proficiency in MDM tools and platforms
- Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills
- Strong communication and collaboration skills to work effectively with cross-functional teams
- Detail-oriented with a commitment to maintaining high data quality standards
