The Commissioned Rehabilitative Services Directorate provide market leading desistance informed services in the Criminal Justice landscape.

Key to success are warm, effective and responsive relationships with MOJ / HMPPS and effective, reliable contract management.

It's a dynamic landscape and our services are delivered in the context of steady state delivery, bidding, mobilising and change management. The role holder reports to and supports the Head of CRS, coordinating contractual, development and change management activities.

What we are looking for

We are looking for a great communicator, a natural planner and deadline beater, with a keen eye for detail, team player, confident with Microsoft Office, and fired up about stopping reoffending. If you are all of these things, you are already pretty unique and we want you to bring all of yourself to Forward Trust, our team, and our mission. You could be our next CRS Contracts and Projects Lead.

At The Forward Trust we are on a mission to stop reoffending. UK rates of offending are too high, strategic ambitions too low, and the harm caused too great. We believe systemic issues contribute to all offending, and we provide services that value the individual and their potential to change.

We need someone to join our Commissioned Rehabilitative Services leadership team to manage contractual admin and tasks as well as project managing change and development. By keeping the foundations steady and the scaffolding secure, you will provide the right conditions for building stronger, bolder and brighter - and help more people out of the cycle of offending.

You might be in Forward Trust, maybe even in our CRS and are looking for a role change or a step up. You might be in the VCSE sector or criminal justice sector, and may have held a role where, like this one, you manage all things contractual or Service Level Agreement, project plans, action plans, Service Exits and Mobilisations. You might be operational and exploring a role change, and you understand the drivers and processes and have the right skills. You might be in a different sector but have the skills and experience we need. If you can see yourself in our job description and can show us how, we want to hear from you.

The leadership team you will join includes Senior Operations Managers who look after services, a Data Manager, and a Governance and Assurance Lead. Together you will drive contracts, services, performance and quality respectively. Your combined skills as a team will maintain Forward Trust as a market leader in rehabilitative services and desistance achievers. You will drive change in the lives of individuals and the communities in which they live.

The role is home based with travel. We have services across England and Wales with key meetings being a hybrid arrangement of online and in person in the county or borough in which the services are based. We meet once a month in person as a team in London. Our services are relationship based and in person, and we believe therefore that as leaders we should operate similarly. Flexibility is therefore required, and as we are located throughout the UK we also do a lot of our business together online.

In your application please make sure you mention each of the 15 items in Person Specification / Knowledge, Skills and Experience of the job telling us very clearly how you meet these. You may not meet every item exactly, tell us about that or how your experience will help your transfer your skills.
