The position sits within our OCX Online vertical and specifically our Basket & Checkout Team. Focus areas for the team are the basket detail page, the checkout flow and order confirmation page, and the mini-basket shown on all pages of our e-commerce site. We are in a multiyear journey of technical transformation which means that occasionally we are engaged in re-writing or replacing legacy logic.
Key requirements:
- Working autonomously to design, develop, and maintain state-of-the-art Basket & Checkout systems across web and mobile without the need for technical oversight.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams, to understand business requirements and translate them into scalable and efficient frontend solutions.
- Utilize your expertise in React, React Native, Typescript and JavaScript to architect and implement robust Frontend systems, ensuring high performance and reliability.
- Take ownership of the software development life cycle, from ideation to deployment, ensuring high-quality code and optimal performance.
- Pay close attention to best practices within the team. Be an advocate of applying innovative methodologies and designing thorough documentation and processes.
- Have a holistic view of the solutions we are trying to build, from an architectural point of view and from the team skillset and what could be our best approach to every project.
- Be curious about new frontend technologies and frameworks while applying your knowledge, experience, and critical thinking.
- Write clean, efficient, and reusable code that adheres to industry best practices and coding standards.
- Adopt a proactive approach to monitoring and resolving critical issues or alerts

- Able to provide engineering solutions and offer architectural changes and feedback to the current codebase.
- Proven experience as a Frontend Software Engineer, with a focus on coding in React, React Native, Typescript and JavaScript.
- Proven experience with Golang would be a plus.
- Excellent problem-solving and communication skills.
- Solid understanding of software development best practices, including version control, code reviews, and continuous integration.
- Effective communication and collaboration abilities, with a passion for teamwork.
