Sales Customer Service Advisor

We are seeking a Sales Customer Service Advisor to join a reputable provider to the construction sector. This role is ideal for someone with office and customer service experience, who is proactive and enjoys working within a small, close-knit team. This position involves handling enquiries and processing orders, with a focus on maintaining our strong customer relationships, rather than cold calling or high-pressure sales tactics.

Day to day of the role:

  • Take enquiries via telephone and email in a friendly and professional manner.
  • Generate and process sales and purchase orders using our bespoke in-house system.
  • Coordinate with the warehouse for the picking and dispatching of orders.
  • Keep customers updated on the status of their orders.
  • Reach out to customers proactively when a delivery is in their local area to offer additional stock.
  • Collaborate with the team, providing support and assistance as needed to ensure smooth operations.

Required Skills & Qualifications:

  • Previous experience in an office and customer service or telephone-based role.
  • Excellent communication skills and the ability to go the extra mile for customers.
  • A proactive approach to recognising opportunities to support our extensive customer base.
  • Ability to work well within a team and contribute to a positive team environment.
  • Familiarity with processing orders and using sales systems would be advantageous.
