Broster Buchanan are recruiting for an Assistant Management Accountant to be based in Oundle. This is an office based position.
Key Responsibilities & Accountabilities:
- Assist with the purchase ledger function, ensuring invoices are processed promptly, payments raised in accordance with terms, and any queries are resolved promptly.
- Assist with clearing queries in the Finance inbox and AP inbox.
- Prepare timely monthly management accounts including P&L accounts, cash flows, variances, and commentaries.
- Complete Monthly Balance sheet recs
- Cash flow forecasting.
- Assist with Budgeting and Forecasting where needed.
- Assist with yearend audit tasks.
- Business partner with the department managers as necessary
- Ensure all financial transactions are properly recorded, filed, and reported.
- Produce monthly journals for entry into the accounting system.
- Responsible for timely processing and reconciliation of VAT accounting, reconciliation, and VAT returns.
- Responsible for Stock reconciliations
- Deliver on HMRC submissions and reporting including ONS.
- Manage the banking facilities, ensuring transactions properly recorded and reconciled.
- Assist with Dynamics 365 future upgrades.
- Assist with general and ad hoc finance duties as required, including supporting other team members.
Skills/Competencies required:
- Studying towards an accountancy qualification such as later stages of AAT or early stages of CIMA/ACCA
- Excellent IT skills with a good knowledge of Microsoft Office and Excel.
- Highly organised, with the ability to prioritise and manage a busy workload.
- Knowledge of Business Central or Navision an advantage.
- High attention to detail.
- Able to work as part of a team.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
Salary: £30,000 - £35,000 + Study Support
