We are seeking an innovative and motivated Philosophy, Ethics and Theology Teacher to join our dedicated team at a dynamic educational institution. The successful candidate will be passionate about teaching and have the ability to inspire students across Key Stages 3 to 5. Our department is equipped with interactive whiteboards, projectors, and a communal workspace, providing an excellent environment for both teaching and learning.

Day to Day of the role:

  • Deliver engaging and thought-provoking lessons in Philosophy, Ethics, and Theology across KS3, KS4, and potentially KS5.
  • Encourage students to develop their religious and ethical knowledge, with a curriculum that covers a range of world religions.
  • Adapt teaching methods to suit the expertise of the teacher and the needs of the students, promoting independent learning and further reading.
  • Interleave necessary skills with a passion for the subject, ensuring students are successful in their academic journey.
  • Provide extra-curricular opportunities and study support sessions for GCSE and A-Level students.

Required Skills & Qualifications:

  • A strong knowledge base and passion for Philosophy, Ethics, and Theology.
  • Experience of teaching RE across KS3 and KS4, with a desire or experience to teach at KS5.
  • Excellent collaboration skills to drive knowledge and pedagogy within the department.
  • Commitment to providing first-class teaching and learning.
  • Willingness to support the department in delivering extra-curricular opportunities.
