Position Summary

As an SEN Support Assistant at Education Network, you will be instrumental in helping children with special educational needs reach their fullest potential. Prior experience in this field is not a prerequisite; what matters most is your dedication to making a positive impact. Key Responsibilities

  • Offer one-on-one or small group support to students with special educational needs
  • Assist in the implementation of individualised education plans (IEPs)
  • Create and maintain a safe, inclusive, and nurturing learning environment
  • Collaborate with teachers, therapists, and parents to meet each child's needs effectively
  • Encourage both academic and social independence and development in pupils

Essential

  • A strong desire to work with children and make a meaningful difference
  • Compassion, patience, and empathy towards children with special educational needs
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Willingness to learn and adapt to the unique needs of each student
  • Ability to work collaboratively as part of a team and follow guidance from experienced professionals

Desirable

  • Minimum Level 2 Teaching Assistant / Level 6 Qualification - Degree
  • Experience working with children with additional needs
