Our client is seeking an experienced, enthusiastic, and collaborative Property/Construction Buyer, who is familiar with the construction and property development industry. This role will be working closely with the Director and travelling to local construction site locations.
Property/Construction Buyer Responsibilities
Some of your responsibilities will include but not be limited to:
- Organise construction site visits
- Source and buy materials for construction projects in line with budgets
- Liaise with Project Managers and Quantity Surveyors in relation to project estimates
- Oversee budgets, cost control and financial expenses
- Deal with amenity stakeholders (gas, electricity, water, internet etc.)
- Organise insurance quotations
- Identify new suppliers
- Monitor health and safety compliance

Our client is a luxury property developer for new build homes and projects across Oxfordshire. They have a growing portfolio and work with some prestigious clients.
Property/Construction Buyer Experience
To be suitable for this position, you will have demonstrable experience in construction or property development and experience of buying construction/building materials for projects. Ideally the successful candidate will be an advanced user of Excel, and have knowledge of budgeting and cost control. Strong communication skills are essential, alongside the ability to be proactive and positive. This would suit someone who is passionate about property development and does not mind working in a small team.
Location
This position is located near Wheatly, Oxfordshire and is fully office based. There will be occasional construction site visits and therefore requires someone who drives and has their own transport. There is free onsite parking at their offices.
This is a full time, permanent position.
