HR Administrator (12-Month Contract)

£16.01 per hour PAYE plus holidays

37 hours per week

Stevenage - 1-2 days a week, with potential for ad-hoc work at other locations

Job Description:

We are seeking an experienced HR Administrator to join our Aerospace and Defence Client on a 12-month contract. This role offers a competitive pay rate plus holiday benefits. The successful candidate will work 37 hours per week, with 1-2 days on-site and occasional ad-hoc work at other locations. The ideal candidate will possess relevant HR administration experience, excellent phone skills, and strong IT capabilities, and will be a proactive team player.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Interview Coordination: Organize and schedule interviews for general and Early Careers Programme (ECP) hires, liaising with managers and BSOs, and updating Onehr.
  • Communication: Send interview confirmations to managers and candidates, and monitor Onehr for Conditional and Firm Offers.
  • Data Management: Update contract requirements, track ECP offers, and maintain candidate status in Onehr.
  • Health and Security: Monitor emails from Occupational Health and Security, updating relevant logs and Onehr with candidate statuses and start dates.
  • Candidate Follow-Up: Chase candidates for missing data and update SAP with pension status and payroll spreadsheets with bonus payments.
  • Administrative Processing: Process Hedd checks, load data into Onehr, and forward process changes to the Onboarding Team.
  • Clock Numbers and Holidays: Generate clock numbers for CW staff, update SAP, and update holiday status for new hires.
  • Leaver Administration: Assist with the administration process for leavers, update Onehr with leaver status, notify Pensions, and produce PLNF.
  • Continuous Improvement: Liaise with the Resourcing Administration team to identify and implement process improvements.
  • Database Management: Regularly update HR databases (Onehr/SAP) with changes and amendments.
  • Support Role: Assist the HR Admin Team Leader as required and coordinate psychometric testing for hires.
  • Workload Management: Organize and prioritize workload to meet deadlines and maintain quality standards.
  • Problem Solving: Investigate and resolve problems, queries, and issues, presenting conclusions and recommendations.
  • Team Participation: Participate in Resourcing UK team meetings and contribute to planning activities.
  • Ad-Hoc Tasks: Perform any ad-hoc administration tasks as required, including supporting the UK Early Careers Programmes (ECP) and processing queries via the resourcing inboxes.
  • Procurement Liaison: Liaise with procurement and finance for supplier risk checks, POs, and invoicing.
  • Weekend Flexibility: Be flexible to work some weekends for open days and exhibitions.
  • Compliance: Deal with references according to GDPR criteria and perform DRM scanning and general housekeeping tasks.

  • Ability to work under pressure and manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to work autonomously and manage own workload effectively.
  • Strong planning and organization skills with attention to detail.
  • Patience and courtesy in handling HR queries.
  • Excellent PC skills (MS Office, Onehr, SAP) with desirable experience in recruitment systems.
  • A self-starter with motivation to excel in the role.
