About the role
Reporting to the Payroll Systems Manager, you will be responsible for supporting the payroll systems team with ensuring the payroll deadlines are met and working with the team to complete day to day tasks. As part of your role you will learn and develop the technical knowledge to test payroll related data in a timely manner. This includes administration duties, and the provision of management information when required to the business through running reports from our payroll database (SAP) into Excel. Ensuring they are accurate and accessible to our internal customers.
Role Responsibility
Key Responsibilities:
- To deliver a great service across the whole of the Booker group
- To assist the Payroll Systems Team with various administration tasks
- To understand the payroll process assisting with the testing of data
- Support with the processing of reports and data when required
- To support with Start of Year and End of Year testing
- Proactively develop and maintain technical knowledge in SAP payroll
- To support with reporting, ensuring they are accurate and amending if required
- Assist with ad hoc projects as and when required.
- To ensure company policies and procedures are adhered to at all times
- To be able to deal with queries and escalations in a timely manner
- To ensure GDPR Compliance of Payroll data both internally and externally and report any issues
- To review, update and implement processes within the department when required
You will need
- To be able to work as part of a team and under own initiative to ensure deadlines are met
- To have a good knowledge of Payroll experience (desirable)
- To have knowledge of SAP (desirable)
- A good working knowledge of Excel
- Experience of working in a medium/large business
- Great Customer Service skills
- Excellent communication skills both verbally and written
- Excellent organisation and time management skills
- The ability to investigate and resolve queries
- The desire and ability to expand your knowledge of Excel and SAP
