Full-Time Music Specialist Cover Supervisor

Location: North Chesterfield Secondary School Contract: Fixed Term (Potential for Permanent Role in the New Year) Working Hours: Full Time Monday to Friday 8.30am - 3.30pm

We are seeking a passionate and experienced Music Specialist Cover Supervisor / Instructor to join our team on a full-time, fixed-term basis. This role involves teaching Music to students in Key Stage 3 and Key Stage 4, covering classes and ensuring the delivery of high-quality Music education. There is potential for this position to become a permanent role, with the school planning to advertise in the new year.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Delivering engaging and effective Music lessons to students in Key Stage 3 and Key Stage 4.
  • Supervising classes and ensuring a positive and productive learning environment.
  • Following and delivering pre-prepared lesson plans and materials.
  • Providing feedback on student progress and engagement to the relevant teachers.
  • Supporting the Music department in various capacities as needed.

Requirements:

  • Background in Music and experience teaching Music to secondary-aged learners or FE stage.
  • Excellent communication and classroom management skills.
  • Ability to engage and inspire students with a passion for Music.
  • Flexibility and adaptability to cover various classes and year groups.
  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) is not required for this role.
