Primary Teacher - Alternative Provision

Tradewind Recruitment is currently looking for a Primary Teacher to work within an Alternative Provision in Burnley. As a Primary Teacher, you will be responsible for teaching Key Stage 2. The ideal candidate will have experience of working within children from Key Stage 1 and Key Stage 2, be able to deescalate challenging behaviour and understand SEMH.
Key Responsibilities:
- Plan and deliver engaging lessons to students within Key Stage 2
- Create a positive and inclusive learning environment for all students.
- Manage and deescalate challenging behaviour using positive behaviour management strategies.
- Work collaboratively with other teachers and support staff to ensure the best outcomes for students.
Essential Requirements:
- Qualified Teacher Status (QTS)
- Experience of teaching students from Key Stage 1 up to Key Stage 2.
- A strong understanding of SEMH.
- Excellent behaviour management skills.
- Ability to plan and deliver engaging lessons to a diverse range of students.
Desirable Requirements:
- Experience of working within an Alternative Provision setting.
- Experience of working with students with Special Educational Needs.
