Chichester College is recruiting a bank of Associate Lecturers to deliver high quality teaching and learning within our Art, Design & Media department. This is a flexible role which allows you to accept work assignments when convenient to you. Perhaps you are looking for that extra role that allows you to give back to our students and help shape their future.
Our Associate Lecturer in Art, Design and Media will be knowledgeable in the Adobe suite of programmes and be able to deliver dynamic and engaging lessons to post 16 students, from level 1-4. The role will also include some preparation of teaching resources and grading students' work.
Key Responsibilities of our Associate Lecturer in Art, Design & Media:
- Undertaking teaching and learning related activities, including tutoring, as agreed
- Ensuring that appropriate learning materials are prepared and assessments and assignments are undertaken in a timely manner
- Undertaking administration and provide reports and statistics regarding student and teaching matters
- Taking an active role in the achievement of high individual student retention and success rates, meeting or surpassing the relevant targets for each
- Developing curricula and learning activities, taking into consideration literacy and numeracy development, and equality and diversity
- Understanding personal responsibilities in relation to Safeguarding
- Keeping up-to-date with current issues, changes, and policies relating to the educational sector
- Participating in marketing activities and promote the College for the purpose of gaining sponsorship, advertising, good public relations and increased recruitment
Our ideal Associate Lecturer in Art, Design & Media should have the below skills and experience:
- Level 4 or above (or equivalent) in related subject
- Level 2 literacy and numeracy
- Relevant industrial/commercial/subject experience
- Proven knowledge of traditional, contemporary and media aspects of Art and Design
- An understanding of safeguarding vulnerable groups
- Flexibility and availability to work outside normal college hours to support performances including evening and some weekends
