Teaching Assistant – Special Educational Needs

Are you looking for a role supporting young people with special educational needs? Are you a Level 3 Teaching Assistant or a Learning Support Assistant who has experience supporting children with a range of special educational needs? This lovely special school requires a Teaching Assistant to work on a 1-2-1 and small group basis.

As a Teaching Assistant you will be working closely with an outstanding class teacher and a team of experienced teaching assistants who love to make a difference. This role requires a Teaching Assistant who enjoys supporting children with special educational needs. If you have experience as a Teaching Assistant, apply now!

Job Role:

  • Supporting children on a 1-2-1 or small group basis.
  • Acting as a Teaching Assistant / Classroom Assistant.
  • Working closely with the class teachers to provide the right support.
  • Managing behaviours if required.
  • Understanding a range of special educational needs.
  • Providing consistency and care for children.
  • Making learning fun, engaging and nurturing.
