STEM Women - Sales Researcher / Business Development Executive

Location: Liverpool City Centre (Hybrid - 3 days office based)

Full Time: Monday to Friday, typically 9 to 5 during office days.

Salary: Competitive

Due to continued growth, STEM Women are looking for a Sales Researcher to join our Sales Team. This position would suit an individual who enjoys identifying new business opportunities through online research and is looking to progress into a client-facing Business Development position. You will play a crucial role in building an effective outbound sales strategy, whilst working closely with the wider sales team.

About Us:

STEM Women introduces university students to graduate employers through our careers events and our job board services. We have become the market leader within this niche, growing sector and have clients based in the UK, Netherlands, Ireland and Australia.

We are an established SME with 9 staff, and we work in a friendly, collaborative, and supportive environment.

Our Role:

We are looking for a Sales Researcher to help our Sales Team identify potential event exhibitors and key decision-makers within companies.

Applicants should have an interest in performing sales support (client-facing or via webchats), research and administrative based tasks.

The role offers the opportunity to grow into a Business Development position whereby the successful applicant will progress into conducting client calls, client visits, and working closely with our event exhibitors.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Identify companies who may be interested in exhibiting at our events through market research. Add relevant contacts to our CRM (Salesforce) and send initial introduction emails.
  • Assist with client calls. Introduce STEM Women to clients that have requested a meeting and potentially conduct a small number of outbound calls.
  • Collaborate closely with the sales team to exchange insights on client feedback, objections, and market research.
  • Identify an agreed number of employers per day. Introduce our events via email/social media.
  • Event day tasks. This may form part of the role, and would include travelling to the venue and helping with logistical tasks.
  • Due to the fast-moving nature of our business we may well require the chosen candidate to work on various ad-hoc tasks from time to time.

Requirements:

  • Applicants must live within commuting distance of Liverpool city centre.
  • Due to the location of our events we are keen to find a candidate that can commit to regular travel, both within the UK and overseas.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication.
  • A degree in any subject, along with relevant commercial experience, would be beneficial.
