We are seeking an experienced Office Manager to provide comprehensive administrative support and maintain high standards within an award-winning construction company. The successful candidate will be adept at working independently as well as part of a wider team, with excellent communication skills to liaise across departments. This role involves supervising Office Administrators, managing office supplies, and ensuring the smooth onboarding of new starters, among other responsibilities.

Day to Day of the role:

  • Supervise Office Administrators and ensure the office is well-maintained, equipped, and stocked.
  • Manage office supply costs, ensuring best value for money.
  • Handle office correspondence, including post and email.
  • Oversee the onboarding process for new starters, including DBS checks and ID verification.
  • Monitor staff absence, annual leave, and sickness records.
  • Identify and arrange appropriate training and development courses.
  • Plan and coordinate company events, team building activities, and presentations.
  • Assist with audits to ensure compliance with ISO, Health and Safety, and other standards.
  • Manage the vehicle fleet, including MOTs and repairs.
  • Handle sensitive and confidential information with discretion.
  • Support Heads of Department and work closely with Senior Management to develop and drive best practices.
  • Adhere to company policies and procedures and assist with general duties such as answering calls, maintaining meeting rooms, and greeting visitors.

Required Skills & Qualifications:

  • Proven experience as an Office Manager or similar administrative role.
  • Excellent organisational and multitasking abilities.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Experience in handling confidential information.
  • Proficiency in office management systems and procedures.
  • Good knowledge of MS Office, databases, and information systems.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Attention to detail and problem-solving skills.
