Looking for Economics teachers in Preston

Do you hold a Qualified Teacher Status (QTS)/PGCE for secondary or equivalent certification for this role?

Do you have a deep understanding of economic principles and the ability to convey these concepts to students effectively?

We are in search of a dedicated and dynamic teacher to join our team in Preston, offering guidance to KS3 and KS4 students. The daily pay rate for this position varies between £155 and £230, contingent upon your experience, qualifications, and teaching proficiency.

The selected candidate will be responsible for providing top-notch education to students, fostering a strong understanding and appreciation of economic principles. This role includes creating an interactive and stimulating learning environment, assessing student progress, and playing a key role in the development and enhancement of the school's curriculum.

Responsibilities:

  • Develop and deliver a comprehensive PE curriculum in alignment with educational standards
  • Punctual and reliable
  • Teach classes allocated and provide a well planned challenging, purposeful learning environment
  • Develop approach to self - directed learning, use technology to support learning
  • Use assessment data to inform lesson planning
  • Organise and monitor extracurricular sports activities and events
  • Ensure a high quality of teaching and learning takes place
  • Deal with immediate problems/emergencies according to school policy and procedures
  • Respond to questioning

  • Managing behaviour of pupils whilst undertaking work to ensure a constructive environment
  • Strong classroom management
  • Motivated and enthusiastic demeanour
  • Be an inspiring and engaging communicator
  • Use imagination and innovation to enhance learning experience

Personal attributes:

  • You will have a genuine passion for teaching
  • Experience up to key stage 3 and 4
  • QTS/PGCE equivalent
  • Be flexible and committed
