FP&A Accountant | Leeds | c£55,000
A leading organisation is seeking an FP&A Accountant to join their dynamic Group FP&A team. Reporting directly to the Group FP&A Director, this key role will support the wider finance community by providing valuable commercial insight, analysis, and financial reporting to key stakeholders.
Key Stakeholders: Group FP&A Director, Group Head of FP&A, Group Senior Finance Business Partner, and the Group Finance Leadership Team (GFLT), with regular exposure to the Group CFO and CEO.
What is expected of an FP&A Accountant:
- Support the Group FP&A team with numerical analysis and insight on key business drivers, providing regular updates to the Group FP&A Director and senior finance stakeholders
- Consolidate annual budget and reforecasting processes across P&L, balance sheet, and cash flow, ensuring timely delivery to the Group Exco and Finance Leadership Team
- Prepare and present complex financial information using PowerPoint, Excel, and other tools to communicate effectively with both finance and non-finance stakeholders
- Maintain Excel models, ensuring data accuracy and integrity while supporting senior team members with financial analysis for key decision-makers, including the Group CFO
- Provide insight on P&L and balance sheet drivers, contributing to business assumptions and working closely with regional and group-wide finance team
- Assist in preparing and communicating financial updates through monthly board packs and presentations for the Group Executive Committee
- Support group-wide commercial finance initiatives, such as cost reduction programmes, providing critical insight and recommendations to senior leadership
- Contribute to ad-hoc analysis, focusing on performance and identifying opportunities for cost savings or revenue enhancement to support the Group Senior Finance Business Partner
A Successful FP&A Accountant will be:
- Qualified accountant (CIMA, ACCA, ACA)
- Experience in finance functions (Especially in reporting, analysis, and accounting roles)
- Experience in month-end close and budgeting processes
- Strong financial modelling skills and familiarity with reporting cycles
- Strong MS Excel skills
- Excellent communication skills, both for finance and non-finance audiences
- Ability to handle ambiguity and work under pressure
