Robert Walters Group: Part-Qualified Finance Division - Assistant Management Accountant - £28,000 to £35,000 per annum

Salary: £28,000 to £35,000 per annum depending on experience
Qualification: Part- Qualified ACCA or CIMA is essential for this position
Study Support: Study support package will be provided for this position
Experience: This role will be responsible for all transactional finance duties as well as assistance with the month end process (experience in this area is essential) candidates with experience of taking accounts to trial balance would be highly desirable for this position.
Industry: Experience in Fintech or Lending is desirable but not essential for this position
Duties of the Assistant Management Accountant :
- Undertake the month end process from bookkeeping through to reporting, explaining variances by developing a broad understanding of revenue and cost drivers
- Manage all accounting operations including Billing, AR, AP, GL, Cost Accounting, and Revenue Recognition
- Partner with Department Heads to provide financial input to strategic decisions and create accountability for budget holders
- Provide support to the Head of finance on general operational finance matters and ad-hoc projects
- Support the Head of Finance with statutory accounts, audit and legal financial obligations
- Support with quarterly VAT returns, annual accounts, payroll and pensions
- Designing and implementing robust financial processes to support efficient scaling of the company while ensuring adequate internal controls
- Finance operations: supplier pay runs, banking & cash management
- Daily bank reconciliations and monthly balance sheet / intercompany reconciliations
Requirements of the Assistant Management Accountant :
- Part-Qualified / Qualified Accountant (ACCA / CIMA).
- Experience running month end and supporting on financial control with the willingness and appetite to get involved in commercial finance wherever possible
- Experience working in an early-stage business or SME within a lean finance team
- Willingness and ability to roll your sleeves up and get stuck into the detail when necessary
- Strong communication skills both written and verbal
- Ambitious with a keen desire to learn
