With a strong commitment to excellence and innovation, we are looking for a skilled, motivated and detail orientated Finance Manager to join our dynamic team.
The Finance Manager will be responsible for managing the financial health of the company in addition to supporting operational tasks, working closely with our Senior Leadership Team this is a key role within our business. You should be familiar with audits, invoices, and budget preparations in addition to P&L reporting, sales reporting and the creation of management information packs. This is a varied role and our ideal candidate will be a conscientious team player who relishes the opportunity to combine finance responsibilities with supporting the wider business.
Finance Manager Key Responsibilities:
- Manage all accounting operations
- Coordinate and direct the preparation of budget and financial forecasts and reports
- Prepare and publish timely monthly financial statements
- Coordinate the preparation of management reports
- Research technical accounting issues for compliance
- Support month-end and year-end close processes
- Ensure quality control over financial transactions and financial reporting
- Manage and comply with reporting requirements and tax filings
- Develop and document processes and accounting policies to maintain and strengthen internal controls
- Full bookkeeping
- Payroll, P11D, VAT, tax and corporation tax management
- Creditor management
- Debtor management
- Cash flow management and bank reconciliation
- Operations support: supplier management, travel and expenses, purchasing
Skills, Qualifications and Key Attributes
- Proven experience as a Finance Manager or in a similar role, with a strong working knowledge of Xero.
- ACCA, CIMA, ICAEW, CIPFA, AAT or ICAS qualifications preferred but not essential
- Thorough knowledge of accounting principles and procedures
- Experience with creating financial statements
- Experience with general ledger functions and the month-end/year-end close process
- Ability to handle multiple tasks and work under pressure
- Excellent attention to detail and accuracy
- Problem-solving skills and initiative
- Analytical skills and a good understanding of complex financial information
