Technical Architect
House hold name within broadcast and content distribution is looking for a talented Technical Architect. You will play a key role in shaping the tech landscape over the coming years, ensuring a scalable and secure platform environment. Hybrid working in Central London location.
Responsibilities:
Data;
- Designing and delivery of a Data Lake to create a single data repository and facilitate greater data analysis, reporting and decision-making.
- Designing and implementing an appropriate data governance framework and strategy to manage and maximise data within the business.
- You will drive the use of data to make impactful decisions.
APIs;
- Developing a robust API structure and culture to ensure the API and wider integration environment is robust, scalable and secure.
- Significant platform integration work as part of a wider transformation programme.
Security;
- Developing the security strategy, setting up secure practices, baking in strong security governance and controls, encryption and means of mitigating risk.
Scalability and Innovation;
- You will be key in anticipating future developments and trends which may impact the platform environment or require a change in direction to ensure the business remains scalable and future ready, within a global setting.
- You will champion new ideas and initiatives, pilot emerging tech, and not be afraid to fail-fast and try again.
About you:
- Degree educated in Computer Science or similar.
- Proven experience in a Technical Architect role (5 years +).
- Experience working within the Microsoft tech stack (Azure / .Net / SQL).
- A high level of experience within microservices, API management and integration.
- A high level of experience within data governance, modelling, analytics and management.
- A high level of expertise in designing and rolling out security strategy, governance and controls.
- A high degree of initiative and desire to take the lead.
- Strong communication skills; able to interact effectively with internal stakeholders, 3rd parties and the wider team.
Desirable:
- TOGAF / CISM / CISSP / Azure certifications.
- Prior experience within Broadcast / Content distribution.
