We are seeking a proactive and dedicated Property Officer to oversee the safety, security, and maintenance of a residential property. This role is ideal for someone with a background in facilities management and a strong commitment to providing excellent customer service.
Day to Day of the role:
- Act as a key-holder, ensuring the security of communal areas and facilities.
- Serve as the first point of contact for residents, contractors, and visitors, managing access to the building.
- Coordinate with contractors for repairs, maintenance, and servicing of communal areas and equipment.
- Manage and monitor the property's laundry facilities and communal spaces.
- Address and resolve complaints related to communal areas and facilities.
- Conduct regular building inspections to identify and address repair, maintenance, and security issues.
- Perform water testing and emergency equipment checks in communal areas, adhering to health and safety standards.
- Coordinate with contractors for fire risk assessment actions and building access.
- Conduct health and safety inspections, documenting outcomes and ensuring compliance with policies and legislation.
- Provide cover for other team members as required and manage out-of-hours emergencies.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
- Exceptional customer service skills.
- Self-motivated with the ability to prioritise tasks and adapt to residents' needs.
- Strong communication skills, both oral and written, with the ability to engage with diverse audiences.
- Experience working with older people or the general public in a service-based role is desirable.
- Good understanding of diversity, equality, data protection, and confidentiality.
- Excellent administrative and organisational skills.
- Knowledge of the housing/building management sector.
- Understanding or experience in health and safety management.
