Reed Talent Solutions are working in partnership with Fujitsu on the search for an Impact Assessment WAN Team Member at their Birmingham site.

Overview of the role:

As 1st Line Impact Assessment Engineer, you will add value to an existing technically diverse team of engineers, with a right 1st time attitude.

Primary daily duties will be the impact assessments, providing support to 1st Line shift team and PKI renewals. You will be responsible in resolving non routine issues, meeting Service Level Agreements and focus on meeting customer expectations.

Development and progression for the successful candidate will enable to also deliver a mixture of general 1st line network support activities.

What does a successful candidate look like?

We are looking for candidates who are flexible, dynamic, have a 'can-do' attitude, and the ability to work in a fast paced environment.

You must have strong attention to detail skills and be comfortable working in a customer facing environment.

No previous network or infrastructure experience is required for this role, however we are seeking for a candidate with a keen interest in network technology and who is eager to embark on a career in networking. The ideal candidate should either have recently completed their CCNA certification or be in the process of finishing it and would be able to provide first-line support for the team. This position offers a great entry point into the business, providing the opportunity to articulate the impact of customer-initiated activities and gain exposure to KPI and different parts of the business.

Skills:

  • Understanding of a variety of network designs and topology, to enable progression of Impact Assessments.
  • CCNA certified
  • Ability to clearly articulate solutions to both internal and external customers.
  • A Self-motivated self-starter
  • Understanding of change processes would be beneficial
  • Supporting 1st line Networks team as part of a 24/7 shift rota, as required
  • Provide input into reports to the customer and management.
  • Technical Capability. Fully able to support end users with routine technical queries relating to products/systems (e.g. Microsoft products, operating systems, networks, applications, PCS).

What do you need to know about the role?

  • Pay rate - £15 per hour PAYE (paid weekly one week in arears)
  • Location - onsite full time at Solihull, Birmingham Business - Fujitsu SOL20, B377YU
  • Working Pattern: Training Mon- Fri 8am-4pm & 9am-5pm
  • After training join shift function for few months: 4 days on (7am to 7pm), 4 days off, 4 nights on (7pm to 7am). Move back to core hours to join the engineers you are paired up with
  • Contract type - temporary via Reed Talent Solutions
  • Duration - 6 months rolling contract
  • Start Date: ASAP
  • Recruitment process - Pre-screen with Reed, CV submission to Fujitsu, 30-45 minute Teams interview with Fujitsu
