Role: Electrical Electronic Engineer
Location: RG7 4PR, located between Reading and Basingstoke, with free onsite parking
Package: £24,270 - £34,000 (dependant on suitability and level of experience)

Let us introduce the role
We are looking for an Engineer to join the ATE (Automated Test Equipment) team. This is an opportunity to raise your engineering skills whilst helping drive forward ATE development.
We have adaptable roles to suit all stages of career development in electronic engineering.
Supportive and experienced engineering colleagues to support your tasks and progression.
Applications welcome from a broad range of education and experience within the electronics discipline.
The tasks that you will be undertaking or supporting include (but are not limited to):
- Analogue and digital circuit design and prototyping
- Euro card systems
- Backplane systems
- Circuit board design and layout
- System integration (bringing multiple systems together)
- Cable and harness design, development and manufacture
- National Instruments LabView software development
- Product development:
- 19" Rack systems
- Euro card systems
- Backplane systems
- Boxed / enclosed designs
- Maintenance of local area computer network

Whilst not to be considered a tick list, we'd like you to have experience in some of the following:
- Electronic / Electrical Apprenticeship, NVQ or suitable experience
- Formal education ONC, HNC, Degree etc (Although not essential)
- Practical experience in prototyping circuits
- Simulation of circuit behaviour using PSpice tools
- Use of ECAD tools
- Experience in circuit design and/or layout
- Ability to follow technical procedures with a high level of accuracy
- Fault finding
- Problem Solving
- Genuine interest in developing expertise in the electronics field

- You will need to obtain and maintain the necessary security clearance for the role. This will be funded by AWE. The nature of our work does mean you need to be a British Citizen who has been resident in the UK for the past 5 years in order to apply for SC clearance and 10 years for DV.
