Robert Half Finance & Accounting are recruiting a new role of Assistant Accountant for a rapidly growing facilities services business with a finance function based in Ellesmere Port. This varied role will provide the successful candidate with the opportunity to work in a stable and supportive working environment while also having the chance to progress and develop their career.
The Role
Reporting into the Finance Director, the Assistant Accountant will have a wide remit of responsibilities ranging from purchase and sales ledger through to credit control duties.
Further duties and responsibilities of the Assistant Accountant will include:
- Processing purchase ledger invoices
- Supplier statement reconciliations
- Collating payment runs for suppliers
- Managing the collection of payments by direct debtis, bank transfer and card payments.
- Contacting business customers when payments are overdue
- Assisting with adhoc reports and completing financial analysis when required
- Reviewing financial records and correcting inconsistencies and coding errors
The Candidate

- Previous experience of working within either Credit Control or Purchase Ledger
- Keen to pursue a career in finance

- Advanced excel user
Salary & Benefits
