With modern offices, a great reputation and sought after consultancy services, our client is looking for a New Business Executive to join their existing Sales Team at their Crewe office.

Role

As the New Business Executive, you will join one other New Business Executive and the wider Senior Sales team, playing an integral part in the sales process. You will connect and engage with new business and potential new clients, qualify leads with the end-goal to set up impactful meetings for the senior sales team, and increase overall sales.

On a day-to-day basis, as the New Business Executive, you will be expected to:

  • Research and strategise, identifying potential clients and key decision-makers through internet research, LinkedIn, referrals etc.
  • Exercise and resilient and persistent approach, you may not reach the key decision-maker first time or be able to qualify the lead first time to find out if there is potential – you must have the confidence and drive to repeat call businesses where needed.
  • Ignite new business and use your expertise (you will be fully trained and provided the knowledge required) to generate leads through cold calling, as well as targeted emails, and social media activity.
  • Develop a deep understanding of the business's offerings and showcase their benefits to prospective clients.
  • Collaborate for success and work closely with the sales team to ensure efficiency and great results – you will liaise with both the prospect and senior sales team to arrange appointments, never missing an opportunity!
  • Support and offer insights to the wider sales team to design and execute targeted campaigns that hit the mark.
  • Track and optimise your activity, accurately and timely updating records of all lead generation activities and client interactions on the CRM system (contact information, key information from conversations, follow up reminders, etc.)
  • Support the wider sales process, assisting in preparing persuasive sales presentations and proposals.
  • Stay ahead and aware of industry trends and competitor activity.

Requirements

As the New Business Executive, it is imperative that you are a highly driven person, confident over the phone and great at talking to people/quickly building rapport (if you've got a big personality – that's all good with our client!) You will either already have experience in sales/business development or be keen to start a career in sales (either a graduate or someone with transferable skills).

In addition to the above, as the New Business Executive, you are required to:

  • Offer a willingness to learn; our client operates within the finance/tech industry and it will help to have an interest towards such or to naturally be IT/finance savvy.
  • Ability to use all Microsoft packages.
  • Be able to demonstrate strong teamwork skills and ability to liaise with others effectively.
  • Be very self-motivation and be able to show examples of when you have been driven to achieve results, whether working independently or as part of a team.
  • Have a great work ethic and be reliable.
  • I'll say it again you must have strong communication skills: your ability to connect with others needs to be top-notch!
