Job Overview
The company undertakes an array of environmental and building acoustics; including noise impact assessments to support planning applications, acoustic building and mechanical design, noise modelling, noise at work and UKAS accredited sound insulation testing.
The candidate shall need to demonstrate delivery of a wide variety of acoustic projects, excellent time management, a thorough understanding of British Standards and competence in attending site, data processing and report writing. The candidate shall need to be motivated and methodical, enabling, reports to be consistently delivered on time.
This varied role will enhance your skills and continue to develop and shape your career in acoustics, affording good opportunities within a dynamic consultancy, supported by the existing East Anglia and South-west teams. The successful candidate will contribute to the growth and development of the business, undertaking technical project work.
Skills and Qualifications
Essential
- Highly experienced in the acoustic industry, relevant consultancy experience, documented technical work
- Qualified to degree level (or equivalent) in acoustics or a related discipline or hold the IOA diploma
- Member of the Institute of Acoustics
- Driving licence
Key Responsibilities
- Understanding and applying relevant UK noise policy, regulations and standards
- Processing data, Report writing and Technical review work,
- Managing projects and advising clients on developments
- Developing client relationships,
- Liaising with clients, local authority officers and stakeholders;
- Travel and surveys may be required outside of standard working hours.
