Management Accountant - Independent TV Production - £55-£65k
A dynamic TV Production & entertainment company is revolutionizing the industry, and we need a talented Management Accountant to fuel their financial success.
As a vital member of the team, you'll take the lead in day-to-day finance, ensuring the operations run smoothly and profitably. Reporting directly to the Finance Director, this role requires a strong communicator with impeccable attention to detail, ready to embrace a fast-paced and diverse position. Duties include:
- Spearhead financial month-end and year-end closure procedures, variance analysis & commentary.
- Collaborate with the Production Accountant on production revenue/cost recognition and WIP
- Drive the planning process, including long-term planning, budgeting, and periodic forecasting for two profit centers and weekly cash flow management.
- Deliver comprehensive reports and analyses down to the Gross Profit level, both divisionally and at client/production levels.
- Monthly Capex analysis
- Guide and supervise the Finance Assistant, overseeing AP, bank reconciliation, charge cards, and AR & Payroll.
Experience Required:
- Experienced as a Management Accountant in the Media Production field, ideally TV or a similar finance industry.
- A self-motivated individual who excels in independent work and thrives in a multitasking environment.
- A team player who builds strong, work relationships.
- Proficient in number crunching, problem-solving, and maintaining accurate records.
- Skilled in Microsoft packages, particularly Excel and knowledge of Xero (a plus!).
- Qualified or finalist/PQ (CIMA/ACCA).
