A world leading research university based in London (hybrid). The Financial Operations team is a close-knit, friendly team managing a substantial portfolio, handling interactions with thousands of suppliers and serving thousands of students annually.
The Role
Reporting to the Head of Financial Operations, you will take the lead role in managing the university's Unit 4 Business World finance and HR system and the Hireserve recruitment system. You will:
- Lead the ongoing improvement and management of the Unit 4 Business World and Hireserve systems
- Handle the entire lifecycle of both systems, from development to support
- Take charge of all stages of the systems' development, choosing the right development methods, prioritising tasks, planning updates, testing, and managing the systems' backlogs
- Provide leadership, coaching, and direction to the Finance and HR Systems Team
- Deputise for the Head of Financial Operations when required
The Successful Candidate
- Proven experience leading and motivating a team
- Qualifications in collaboration frameworks such as Scrum or Agile
- Experience leading large business system initiatives in complex organisations
- The ability to explain complicated issues in layperson's terms to non-technical stakeholders
- Ideally previous experience working in Higher Education in a technology leadership role
