We are currently working with an established construction contractor based in Milton Keynes, who offer a variety of design and build services for various retail projects. This company is on the hunt for an experienced Project Manager to join their growing team.
As a Project Manager you will be responsible for planning, organising, and directing the completion of a range of predominatly retail projects while ensuring these projects are completed on time, on budget, and within scope.
Project Manager - Position Overview
- Discuss project requirements and specifications with clients onsite and over the phone.
- Carry out site survey inspections.
- Complete Site Audit reports on the system.
- Hire fitters and manage/allocate responsibilities.
- Create work schedules for fitters and ensure projects run to time and within budget.
- Purchase/hire plant equipment and materials.
- Oversee projects to ensure staff are working safely, productively and to a high standard.
- Monitor the project budget to minimise overspending.
- Provide progress reports to clients via phone, email or meetings in person.
- Negotiate with vendors, suppliers and subcontractors.
Project Manager - Position Requirements
- Project Management experience within the construction industry - experience in the retail sector is essential.
- Experience being client facing and dealing with individuals at all levels.
- Able to manage a wide range of projects.
- Dedicated to maintaining the highest quality standards.
- Proven leadership skills including managing, developing, and motivating others to achieve their objectives.
- A good communicator with an organised and methodical approach to completion of projects.
- Excellent electrical technical knowledge.
- Competent with Microsoft word, excel, project, access and power point.
- Must hold a valid Driver's Licence.
Project Manager - Position Remuneration
- Working schedule - Monday to Friday - 08:30-5:00.
- £40,000 - £50,000 basic salary (depending on experience).
