ROLE – Mechanical Technician
LOCATION - West Berkshire
TERM - Permanent
SALARY- £30,000-£38,000 per annum (dependent on experience)
My client designs and manufactures products and systems within the Renewable Energy sector. They are looking for a Mechanical/Field Technician to join their team in Berkshire on a permanent basis.
The Mechanical Technician will ideally have the following attributes:
- Excellent hands-on engineering skills
- Have a Mechanical background and a relevant qualification
- Experienced with routine servicing, maintenance, testing and assembly of mechanical systems and electromechanical equipment
- Able to read engineering drawings and BOMs
- Excellent communication skills and attention to detail
- Team player
- Be flexible to travel 1 or 2 days a week, or as required
- Holds a full UK Driving Licence
The Mechanical Technician role will involve
:
- Assembly, testing, maintenance and servicing of mechanical systems and electromechanical equipment
- Some travel to customer sites to deliver and service equipment and machinery
- Routine maintenance and repair on a variety of components and equipment
- Working to procedures and instructions
- Testing and fault-finding
- Repair and calibration
- Working both independently and in a team
- Communicating with different departments to resolve technical issues
