Type: Permanent Full-time (Part-time considered)

Salary: £30,000 - £39,000

Location: Herefordshire

Hybrid working with on-site meetings when required

Sellick Partnership are recruiting for an HR Advisor for our Public Sector client.

The post holder will be the nominated HR advisor for the assigned divisions/directorate and will be responsible for the provision of a comprehensive range of employment services within those divisions.

Key responsibilities for the HR Advisor are;

  • Responsible for HR case work such as TUPE, redundancy, grievance, disciplinary, and sick leave management
  • You will be working within the Education Sector and offering guidance in accordance with regulations specific to schools, such as the School Teachers' Pay & Conditions Document, the Burgundy Book, and the School Staffing Regulations
  • Assist customers with casework related to employee relations via email, phone, teams, and in-person
  • Serve as a detective for a range of employment-related issues and produce written reports
  • Actively engaged in the creation of HR policies and procedures for schools, closely collaborating with trade union leaders
  • Create and present training programs for clients covering a range of HR subjects.

The Ideal candidate for the HR Advisor will have;

  • CIPD Qualified or Studying or Equivalent
  • Experience in Education Sector ideal
  • Track record of operating in an HR environment
  • Experience in Absence Management ideal
  • HR Public Sector experience ideal
  • A solid understanding of employment law
  • Ability to handle sensitive situations.
