Payroll Administrator - FTC Maternity Cover

Location: Kettering / Hybrid

Salary: £22,000 - £25,000

Hours: 37.5 Hours per week

We are currently recruiting for a Payroll Administrator to join our clients bustling Kettering office. You'll manage payroll processing for freelancers and support finance processes.

As a Payroll Administrator, you will be responsible for managing all aspects of payroll processing for the freelancer workforce, ensuring compliance with applicable laws and regulations, and providing them with exceptional support. This role is an initially a 12-month fixed term contract for Maternity leave but with continued growth the contract may be extended or there will be positions available after the fixed term. Your primary duties will include:

Key Responsibilities are:

  • Accurately processing payroll for all freelancers on a weekly & monthly basis
  • Liaising with umbrella companies
  • Maintaining payroll records and ensuring data integrity
  • Handling freelancers' inquiries and resolving payroll discrepancies
  • Preparing and submitting payroll reports to management
  • Coordinate and support all placement administration activities
  • Provide support for contractor administration requests and compliance collection
  • Support the Operations team with weekly and monthly reports
  • Raising client invoices & processing freelancers' invoices
  • Research travel and accommodation for freelancers
  • Supporting management on any administrative tasks
  • Database administration and maintenance
  • Ensure that contractors' files are kept up to date

Person Profile:

  • Proven experience as a Payroll Administrator or in a similar role, specifically handling freelancer's payroll
  • Strong knowledge of payroll processes, laws, and regulations related to contractors
  • Proficiency in payroll software for example Evertime, Fieldglass, Xero and Bullhorn
  • Excellent attention to detail and accuracy
  • Experience working in a recruitment agency or consultancy would be advantageous
  • Strong organisational and time-management skills
  • Ability to handle sensitive and confidential information with discretion
  • Excellent English communication and interpersonal skills
  • High level of proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel
