Internal Sales - Chemicals

We are working with a well-established and highly regarded Chemicals company who are looking for an Internal Sales Coordinator to look after new and existing customers for one of their new divisions.

In this Internal Sales role, we are looking for someone who has a chemistry degree or who has previously worked in the chemicals sector. You will enjoy building relationships with customers as well as having excellent organisation skills.

This is NOT a heavily targeted sales role – you will be part of a wider friendly sales team that puts the customer first.

Responsibilities include:

  • Support the Sales Manager to research and follow up on leads with new and existing customers.
  • Onboard new customers, building relationships and developing knowledge of their product requirements.
  • Promote additional products and services to current and prospective customers.
  • Manage and organise sampling requests for products.
  • Record customer calls and have follow up mechanisms in place to maintain regular communication.
  • Produce, send and follow up on quotes to convert into orders.
  • Prepare and be responsible for producing monthly reports.
  • Liaise with operations team to ensure products are distributed and delivered to customers on time.

What you'll need to fulfil the role of Internal Sales Coordinator:

  • Previous experience in a business-to-business sales / customer focused role is essential.
  • Experience in the chemicals industry or a chemistry degree
  • Knowledge of supply chain / distribution processes and systems would also be ideal.
  • Excellent customer service and relationship building skills.
  • Ability to organise, plan and execute customer strategies.
  • Commercially minded and good negotiation skills.
