Reed HR have partnered with an organisation in Kent who are looking for a dedicated HR Officer to join their team. The successful candidate will be responsible for assisting in all aspects of HR support services to ensure an effective HR function. This includes payroll preparation, employee relations, staffing rotas, recruitment, staff training administration, and providing employment advice to the management team.

Day to Day of the role:

  • Assist in the preparation of payroll and staffing rotas.
  • Manage recruitment processes for all posts within the organisation.
  • Administer the staff online training function.
  • Provide employment advice to the management team as required.
  • Maintain HR systems, ensuring compliance with best practice and legislation.
  • Conduct pre-employment checks in line with requirements.
  • Manage staff annual leave entitlement and usage, as well as sickness absence records.
  • Prepare and maintain employee personnel files and handle HR-related documentation.
  • Assist with rota management using the Bodet Time and Attendance Programme.
  • Support the recruitment process from advertising to induction of new employees.

Required Skills & Qualifications:

  • Educated to GCSE/O level standard or equivalent in Mathematics and English Language.
  • CIPD level 3 qualification is desirable.
  • Ideally had exposure or some experience with Employee Relations cases.
  • Good organisational and administrative experience, able to work to time constraints.
  • Proven ability to handle confidential matters with discretion.
  • Sound knowledge of Microsoft packages including Excel and competent IT skills.
  • Excellent literacy and numeracy skills with experience in written and verbal communication.
  • Exceptional interpersonal skills, demonstrating professionalism in all dealings.
  • Ability to prioritise workload in an environment with conflicting demands.
