We are looking for a Neighbourhood Caretaker to join our team. In this role you will maintain the cleanliness and safety of our residential estates. Key duties include cleaning communal areas, grounds maintenance (grass cutting, hedge trimming), waste management, and supporting recycling and energy efficiency initiatives. You'll also provide excellent customer service to residents and visitors, ensuring the estate is well-kept and secure.

Requirements
Key Responsibilities:
- To provide a high-quality cleaning, grounds maintenance, and environmental management service, ensuring the estate and communal areas are clean, tidy, safe, and well-maintained. This includes regular upkeep, compliance with KPIs, and routine testing of communal equipment such as fire alarms and lighting.
- Operate machines/equipment/vehicles in a safe and efficient manner ensuring any faults or defects are reported to the Team Leader /Manager
- To assist in the preparation of homes for letting by carrying out gardening work (grass cutting, strimming, hedge trimming), removing and dispose of items of furniture and rubbish/debris and void clearance/cleaning, and undertake small repairs and painting
- To support an enhanced recycling agenda, ensure the efficient management of waste systems by regularly ordering and filling skips, emptying and rotating rubbish and recycling bins, and unblocking chutes as needed.
- Promote recycling awareness among customers and the public, providing guidance on proper disposal practices to reduce contamination and improve recycling rates
- Support an enhanced energy efficiency agenda including home visits for heating system settings and monitoring
- To liaise with Company's staff and residents' groups so as to actively promote ways in which the estate cleaning, ground maintenance and recycling may be improved.
Requirements:
- A Full Manual UK Driving License
- Practical experience cleaning or caretaking
- Working knowledge of cleaning and caretaking equipment e.g. buffing machine vacuuming / grounds maintenance and/or gardening machinery e.g. pedestrian mowers, strimmer's, hedge trimmers and small hand tools
- Excellent customer service skills, ideally worked within a customer facing environment
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- A good standard of literacy and numeracy to enable accurate record keeping
