Position Overview:
Our client is seeking individuals who are passionate about finance transformation with a proven track record in this domain. This role is ideal for a qualified accountant with 5-10 years of operational and Finance Transformation experience, including implementing SaaS solutions for Finance, preferably Oracle, Workday, or SAP.
As a Senior Finance Transformation Consultant, you will guide and challenge existing client processes and ways of working. You will lead workshops, facilitate key decisions, support vendor selection, and guide clients through the implementation and adoption of new technology. You will understand how to maximise the benefits of SaaS technology across many Finance areas and ensure successful business transformations. This role blends stakeholder and project management, solution and process design, and change management, focusing on supporting Finance teams and the wider business through their transformation journey.
Key Responsibilities:
- Advise clients on Finance service design and changing operating models resulting from technology and automation deployment.
- Support clients with a case for change, identifying opportunities for improvements, and translating them into a roadmap and action plan.
- Define transformation roadmaps and implementation plans.
- Provide expertise on the deployment of finance technology solutions from functional, organisational, and change perspectives.
- Support clients in designing technology and automation solutions that deliver required outcomes and align with strategic design principles.
- Lead functional teams to deliver all aspects of transformation.
- Identify and resolve risks and issues arising from technology solution deployments.
- Collaborate with technical teams to ensure the technical solution is built as per the design and meets business requirements.
- Define and embed new ways of working within the business.
- Work on internal process improvement projects as part of the Finance Community.
Qualifications and Experience:
- Experience advising clients on Finance service design and changing operating models due to technology and automation deployment.
- Proven ability to support clients with a case for change, identifying improvement opportunities and translating them into actionable roadmaps and plans.
- Expertise in providing support with Finance service design, operating models, and capability.
- In-depth knowledge of finance technology solutions deployment from functional, organisational, and change perspectives.
- Proficiency in designing technology and automation solutions, including facilitating design principles.
- Skilled in mapping and documenting Finance processes.
- Experience in identifying and resolving risks and issues arising from technology solution deployments.
- Ability to collaborate with technical teams to ensure solutions are built as per design and meet business requirements.
- Competence in defining and embedding new ways of working within businesses
- Source to Contract (S2C) experience.
- Minimum of 1-year post-qualification experience preferred.
