Pertemps are working with our public sector organisation to recruit for an Anatomical Pathology Technician (APT) to work within their Forensic Mortuary in Edinburgh.
Role - Anatomical Pathology Technician (APT) - Mortuary
Location - Edinburgh City Centre
Duration - temporary role
Pay rate - £16.37 - £19.33 per hour
Hours of work - 36 hours, Monday - Friday, typically between 7am - 4pm (& on call rota)
Start date - immediate start
The successful candidate will be carrying out, but not be limited to:
- Receiving, cleaning and preparing bodies for examination
- Carrying out daily checks
- Assisting with autopsies and ensuring any samples are stored correctly
- Recording all information accurately and storing this in the correct manner
- Liaising with internal and external stakeholders
- Preparing bodies for collection
- Carrying out any other tasks as required
Applicants must hold an APT Diploma and have a proven track record within this field. You must also have excellent customer service, communication and teamwork skills.
