What We're Looking For:
- Qualified Speech and Language Therapist with HCPC registration.
- Experience working with children and young people, ideally in an educational setting.
- Strong collaboration skills to work alongside SALT assistants, teaching staff, and other professionals.
- Ability to deliver staff training and guidance on communication strategies.
Location: Coulsdon & Crawley (1 day per week at each school)
Contract: Part-time, Service Level Agreement (SLA)
Hours: 2 days per week
Salary: Competitive, dependent on experience
NonStop are seeking a Speech and Language Therapist (SALT) looking for a part-time opportunity to make a real difference. We are seeking an enthusiastic and qualified SALT to lead and manage the speech and language strategy at our schools in Coulsdon and Crawley.
Key Responsibilities:
- Manage SALT strategy: Oversee and implement speech and language therapy for a small group of pupils with low to medium needs.
- Work with pupils: Provide direct SALT support to pupils requiring qualified input.
- Support classroom strategies: Direct and supervise SALT assistants and teaching assistants (TAs) to implement effective communication strategies within the classroom.
- Staff training: Lead and manage training for school staff, ensuring they are equipped to meet the speech, language, and communication needs of the pupils.
