A proud equal opportunity employer, we passionately embrace team member diversity and provide a positive and inclusive working environment for all.About the roleThe Management Information CoE sits with the International Data Office and are responsible for all Boots regular reporting, from daily updates to supporting financial month-end. We are currently in a period of change as we move these reports to use Azure and Power BI.The MI team sits in quite a unique position as we work with data from across the entire business, so attention to detail and the ability to manage multiple tasks are key.As an Analytics Engineer within this team, you will be responsible for maintaining and modelling the data that underpins these reports, proving it's accuracy, and working with our report developers to make sure that it's fit for purpose, while also maintaining aspects of our legacy data systems until we have completely moved to Power BI.You will also work with other parts of the business to understand and unlock the full potential of Boots' data.What you'll need to have

  • Experience using Power BI to model data, whilst also being willing and capable of adapting to new tools as they're introduced.
  • Be proficient at writing SQL
  • Knowledge of data relationship concepts such as star schema
  • Excellent communication, interpersonal and influencing skills with the ability to deal effectively and confidently with individuals at all levels of the business and across functional boundaries.
  • Strong attention to detail
  • The ability to adapt to changing priorities as requirements evolve.

It would be great if you also have

  • Experience of other related tools such as ADF, ADO, Git and Powershell
  • Experience using DataBricks and/or Python.
  • Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Excel and VBA
  • Knowledge of Power BI External tools like Tabular Editor, Dax Studio, etc
  • Experience using SAP BW
