Driver

We are currently seeking a dedicated individual with a C1 license to join our team as a Driver. This role is crucial for managing inventory, handling deliveries, and ensuring efficient stock management. Your driving skills and meticulous attention to detail will be key to the smooth operation of our supply chain.
Day to day of the role:
- Carry out vehicle/equipment inspections daily and report any defects to your Line Manager.
- Drive LGV responsibly to meet targets and criteria, maintaining high standards of customer service and compliance with all current EU Road Transport regulations.
- Complete documentation and comply with legislation applicable to the vehicle's.
- Assist with safe and legal loading and offloading, check orders, delivery notes, obtain signatures when required, and handle delivery discrepancies.
- Inform Line Manager of any incidents or if tasks cannot be performed on time.
- Provide support and assistance to customers, including the collection of payments when required.
- Liaise effectively with internal and external customers.
- Carry out planned tasks within set time limits.
- Assist Line Manager with improvements and changes.
- Maintain accurate records/documentation associated with your work.
- Achieve personal targets and assist Line Manager to achieve team targets.
- Ensure compliance with policies, procedures, codes, and legislation, including health and safety.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
- Valid C1 driving license.
- Previous experience in warehouse operations or a driving role is beneficial.
- Strong attention to detail and excellent organisational skills.
- Physical ability to lift and move heavy items.
- Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
