Main Responsibilities:
- Perform laboratory investigations in line with Trust protocols, ensuring high standards of accuracy and professionalism.
- Contribute to the delivery of diagnostic services within the pathology department.
- Assist in the supervision and training of junior staff and students.
- Maintain comprehensive and accurate patient records in compliance with hospital standards.
- Ensure safe and efficient use of equipment and resources.
Essential Criteria:
- IBMS Accredited Biomedical Sciences Degree (or equivalent degree accredited with IBMS).
- Current HCPC Registration as a Biomedical Scientist.
- IBMS Specialist Diploma in Non-Gynae Cytology (or equivalent level of knowledge).
- Demonstrable Evidence of Continuing Professional Development (CPD).
- Strong communication skills and the ability to work effectively as part of a multidisciplinary team.
- Ability to manage workload and prioritize tasks efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
Desirable Criteria:
- Experience in Non-Gynae Cytology.
- Experience working in hospital-based laboratory settings.
